the food is ok, but it's not the real reason which leads me to... it's more that, first of all, you are here in teh rue de Bretagne, with loads of practical shops around. Like in a village, you have the butchers, florists, bakers, book shops and so on, all in a row, and the fabulous market "Marché des enfants... More

Staying in the Marais area, and found this little cafe, and had a wonderful breakfast. The omelette was wonderful. I recommend this cafe, and will go back. I do have to say though, after being here three days, I have not had a bad experience yet at a cafe.

This rue Bretagne "it" spot is great for people watching and literally rubbing shoulder with local personalities, fashion stylists, photographers, production set designers etc etc etc. Unfortunately the popularity of the place allows jacked up prices for dishes that lack quality and grace. I have to say they do have great French Fries (freedom fries for the gringos, LOL). The... More

The breakfast menu is good value. Ordering a la carte can be a bit expensive though. Service was touch and go. On Saturday when we went for brunch the waitress was very attentive and charming. However on Sunday when we stopped for a coffee, we had to wait 15 minutes until our order was taken. Good atmosphere and trendy area.

Had lunch here today and it was great! I enjoyed my chicken dish, it was delicious! My boyfriend loved his foie gras but his veal was really oily and he did not finish it. The atmosphere was very nice, romantic and very french!! Our waiter was really nice too!!

Came late Saturday morning for breakfast; arrived at 11:25. Ordered breakfast menu where you have a choice of juice and hot drink. Got juice and hot drink but no croissants, toast etc. took 10 minutes to flag down waiter when food didn't arrive. Very unattentive and surly. It's a shame; the venue is a nice mix of classical tiled cafe... More

Blanchette de veau is really really good and in traditional style! Entrecote is great. A bit overpriced, but the quality and the athmosphere are so good that it was not a problem. This cafe was situated just near our apartment. I'm not sure it is worth coming from the center or so to eat here, but if you are looking... More
