Searching for a restaurant for our final night in Strasbourg, we were keen to find somewhere which did not serve heavy, large meals and were delighted by our hotel's recommendation for this stylish offering. The food, in our opinion, is a modern take on Alsatian food with a Japanese twist. We were served by a charming waiter who kindly spoke... More

Need reservations! Went on a Friday night and it was packed. The food was good and the atmosphere was warm but clean and low key. We sat downstairs which has a little more wiggle room than upstairs and is a little more quiet.

One of the most frustrating things when eating out is when restaurant runs out of wine after you have spent a long time deliberating over a short list of relevant drinks. It demonstrates sloppiness and a lack of attention to detail. Au Petit Tonnelier was such a venue. Located in old town along Rue des Tonneliers, not far from the... More

Small but wonderful; the staff was gracious and helpful, the food was wonderful. We ate here twice during our staff between Christmas and New Years and highly recommend at least 1 dinner during anyone's visit to Strasbourg.

We went there with the highest expectations, since the restaurant ranks so high here on TripAdvisor. Unfortunately, the service was lackluster and the food uninspired and dull. In light of this, I have to say the 33 EUR "formule" (starter, main, desert) is grossly overpriced. I hope, for their sake, it was just an off night for them, but we... More

We just had a Great dinner at Petit Tonnelier. Great quality and service. A friend of ours was pregnant and we told our waiter. He remembered throughout the seven-course meal and they served her alternative, suitable meals. Just great and reasonable price! Defintitely worth going!

We dined as a family of three on a Thursday night with no reservations. We were seated right way, and the gentleman who served us spoke English and offered a good recommendation for an apertif. The dishes we ordered were creatively prepared, beautifully presented, and subtly flavored. The house specialty duck foie gras with egg and jus de viande was... More

This small restaurant with its excellent and friendly service offers well presented meals at a good price. We went there on the last night of a two week stay in Strasbourg. It stood out for all the best reasons. The waiter was considerate, helping us choose wines from the excellent range on offer.

A small restaurant, with a cellar dining area as well as a terrace in summer, and a ground floor. Service is always excellent, and the food is always good, with a nice variety on the menu.

I have been eating at this restaurant for many years and it has always been a pleasure to come back. I enjoy the varied menu with touches from different cuisines. The restaurant located in Strasbourg's pedestrian heart offers a sober and relaxing atmosphere miles away from the neighbouring tourist traps. The service is fast and very friendly.
