This place was just average, food was alright, can't say much more for it. Service was pleasant although a little slow. I won't be going back as I prefer to pay more for better quality.

The best tasting Indian food I have had for years. My Jalfrezi always has plenty of large lamb pieces (unlike a lot of other restaurants) and is spiced perfectly. The standard is consistently top notch. The food here is EXCELLENT.

After trying many, many Indians in the area of derby as such the likes of anoki, Jee Ja jeez and the likes. I can safely say that Basmati is consistently of a high level of service, food and all round quality. In short if you want a great night out with good food and friendly faces then come here.
