The waiting staff were very keen to help and as a result were almost over attentive, food was pleasant and reasonably priced and the music reminded me of my honeymoon in Kenya

Great price, brilliant food, excellent service. Heard good reviews for a few months now, and it's all true! The food is beautifully presented and our party felt well looked after. I've already planned another visit!
Went here as part of a large group and everyone liked the food which wasn't particularly expensive at around £20 for 3 courses excluding drinks (which weren't horribly overpriced either!). I would certainly recommend it for good quality food. The menu doesn't offer the biggest selection available (esp Starters) but there's something for everyone and it's good quality.

Arranged a visit here for around 20 work colleagues. Staff were very helpful with making the arrangements, and the food was excellent, particularly the Jambalaya. Service was good considering they were dealing with both ourselves and another large party. Highly recommended
I visited this restaurant with a couple of friends and we were all looking for something different to the average chain restaurants. Embe didn't disappoint with great food and friendly staff. The jerk chicken was nice and spicy and the mutton curry really hit the spot. The food was reasonably priced at just over £30 each for 3 courses including...

First visit to embe and I can recommend it, the starter menu is limited by choice but the main meal selection is delicious.
The goat curry was delicious and my two children had jerk chicken and mango chicken neither too hot for a couple of unadventurous 13 year olds.
Very enjoyable visit and bill came to £47 for 3 starters...

I visited EMBE with my meetup group on a Wednesday night (13 of us). The bread & starters arrived within about half an hour but then we had to wait over an hour for the mains by which time we were all really hungry. We had pre-ordered our food as well! I had the Trinidad pumpkin stew which I thought...

Dear Jonathan,
First I must thank you for your positive, and detailed review regarding your visit. You included a few points, that I feel I should respond to. Your table was booked at 7pm, but not all of the individuals in your party arrived at that time, the waitress was told by a member of your table that you would...

I don't know wot everyone else is seeing in this place. We visited on a Saturday night. The atmosphere was non-existent, if the service had been any slower it would have gone backwards and the food was just - okay. By the time it actually arrived we just wanted to go home! Would not bother eating there again!
Dear Tivoli580,
I am sorry that you felt your experience at embe to be awful.
We welcome all kinds of feedback from our customers, and given that we do usually receive very positive reviews I would be very grateful if you could give me any further details concerning your visit, such as what you ordered and what time you came....

Was taken to the restaurant by the inlaws and what a shocker! I heard, Burghley Road and thought this would be a waste of time and so unpleasant, how surprised I was! The owner needs a little more work on the actual building but he makes up for it in personality and food quality! He greeted us and spoke throughout...
