We were in Shell's last Saturday and the waitress said we would have to wait about 25 minutes for a table, we waited and it was well worth it. We had their B.L.T. on home made bread and soup. It was beautiful. Lovely atmosphere. The only downfall was the price of the products in the new shop, like €13 for... More

Actually, it's the best place to eat in all of Sligo. I try to go at least once a month, they never disappoint. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would.

Okay, so the setting is just perfect, the staff are exceptionally happy and friendly, and the food is gorgeous. My only complaint is that it's too hard to get a table, and the recent extension should have been much bigger!

I have eaten here a couple of times as everyone raves about the place however I just don't understand what all the fuss is about. I am a massive foodie who loves quirky cafe's/eateries and in my opinion the food really is substandard e.g. the chips I had have been rock hard, the slice of gluten free chocolate cake was... More

We travel from Co. Clare to Donegal quite regularly and were just fed up with the mediocre stops on the way so after reading some reviews on tripadvisor we went just a little out of our way and visited Shells. So glad we did! It's just brillant - good wholesome food at good prices - we'll definately be back on... More

Arrived here on a cold Tuesday for lunch and the place was packed! Small but diverse menu, and plenty of options for fussy kids. 34 Euro to feed two adults and thre kids including icecream!

I love Shells! I don't often get to take the small trip out to Strandhill, but when I do, it is most likely to visit Shells! The food is great! The staff is always friendly and you have the view if the ocean right in front of you! This is a much go to! Whether you are visiting or living... More

Although we were staying in Sligo we drove the 8km to Strandhill daily to enjoy lunch in Shells. The BLT is simple but quality, the fish and chips also excellent. I found the atmosphere really pleasant in the place midweek with locals also popping in for a bite to eat and a coffee after a walk on the beach. It... More
