We were really fancying fish and chips and happened on Quinlans. We were not disappointed! It was very busy at 7.30pm, but we were greeted and seated very quickly. Their menu is clear and has a lot of good options. We opted for their meal deal - fish and chips (choice of fish), mushy peas and a drink (tea, coke,... More

If you like to eat really good fish then this is the place for you. A very casual restaurant that has up to 5 different fish choices for fish and chips. Also a nice selection of other fresh fish from smoked salmon, prawns, crab, and calamari. We had cod fish and chips and a smoked salmon open faced sandwich on brown... More

I ate here on Monday evening with my wife. Overall we were a little disappointed. After reading the reviews we expected something a little different. We just got your ordinary chippy. I had the hake which wasn't bad but my wife's cod goujons were very greasy. It's bad when your leaving a fresh fish shop and talking about the chips.... More

Hello nhols52, Thank you for your review however just a little clarification. We do not pretend to be high end, this is also reflected in our pricing. While you may have found the goujons a bit greasy they are cooked in a Rapeseed-Palm oil mix and even though we leave all cooked food rest a while there will always be some.... More

On our visit to Killarney there seemed to always be a queue outside Quinlans so we had to check it out to see what all the fuss was about! We only had to wait 5 or 10 minutes for our table and our waiter was very friendly. The cod and chips we had were beautiful, the fish was really fresh,... More

Hi jannie77, Thank you for your kind review. Sorry you felt a bit rushed but we don't try to make anyone feel that way. If there is a queue you automatically feel obliged to vacate your seats. However I am glad to see that you have enjoyed your visit to us. Kind Regards, Liam. More

Huge portions of the best fish and chips ever! You can order half chips(fries) and onion rings, or half chips and a salad to go with the crispy, delicious fish.

If you want a classy place go elsewhere, since this small place consisted of about 30 seats close together. If you want really fresh seafood then this is worth it. Apparently they get the food right off of the boat that day, not from some middleman, and you can taste the difference immediately. We had the daily special (Brill), which... More

This is a small place located on the Main street in the city center. There are lots of eating places and pubs but we were very glad we chose to eat here at least once. Really fresh fish expertly prepared and served in an informal setting. Great.

You can't beat a restaurant that catches their own fish and prepares it fresh daily! This was a trip highlight for me. It's also in a great location and a good spot to have dinner and then walk the town. The only downside is they do not serve liquor.

Without a doubt this was the nicest fish I've eaten. Excellent value. Got the seabass and chips. Husband got the plaice. We both were really impressed. It looks like a classy fish and chip shop. We went early in the evening so we were lucky to get a seat! Will certainly go here again next time I'm in Killarney! Yum!... More

We dined here on two consecutive nights while staying in Killarney. It is on the busy High Street very close to our hotel the Ross. Prices are excellent for the amount of food provided. We had the beer battered cod (12 euros). The batter was tasty and fish tender. We also had the squid (13 euros) and fish cakes (9... More
