We ate here one day for lunch. Location is top notch right on shop street in the centre. Menu was limited but food was ok. Big refurbishments going on lately, so looking forward to giving it a 2nd try

Thanks for your comments. Currently our fresh food offering for lunch is from our take-away sandwich counter and self-service salad bar. We consistently get great feed-back on the quality of our sandwiches. However we will be offering a wider range of food from our extended cafe, which will open next month. The food will be based around fresh local ingredients... More

I have ordered fish and chips around the world and enjoy the variety of ways it is served. I had read the reviews of McCambrige's and was worried after talking to the owner of the B&B we stayed at it might be a bit of a disappointment - not because she didn't think it was great - but because with... We are glad you liked your fish and chips in Galway so much but I think you probably ate at McDonaghs not McCambridge's. We are a fine foods deli and cafe on Shop Street and we don't serve fish and chips! We do agree that McDonaghs serve very fine fish and excellent proper chips. More

It's a great place for lunch at any day of the week. The selection of salads and gourmet sandwiches is great and the coffee would keep even the Italians happy!

This old established shop is a treasure trove for anyone looking for the best Irish and Continental produce. The staff are very helpful and very friendly. When you have chosen your olives or Tapenade or hummus or any of dozens of fabulous cheeses then sit at the counter and enjoy a cappuccino and a chat! Try the Toulouse sausages - just... More

McCabridges is a really great fine food store on Shop Street, selling vegetables, tinned food, specialist ingredients, herbs and spices, cheeses, wines, beer, interesting ciders, many chocolates and many other interesting and tasty treats. They also have a bakery, deli and salad bar. The staff here are really knowledgeable and always happy to help you find something, or recommend anything.... More

This place is amazing. By far and away the best sandwiches and salads you can buy in Galway. Living in London, and only getting to go home a few times a year, I make sure as soon as I get off the bus to stop in to McCambridges for my fancy sandwich and coffee. This place never fails to impress;... More
