I had an early dinner in Martine's on 24th May. Weather was gorgeous so it was lovely to be sitting outside, so close to the buzz of the street. Take that away and Martine's would have been disappointing indeed. Arrived just before 8pm, solo, no reservation, seated immediately. Starter of HakeTempura was well-prepared and tasty. Main course (duck) was ok... More

My wife and I had 'dinner' here last Tuesday night and to say the least it was a frustrating and disappointing experience. We walked into the resaurant at 9.15 and enquired if there were spaces available and were told by manager on duty that there would be a table available 'in five minutes' and we could wait at the bar... The restaurant was very pleasant, great atmosphere, loads of character and the service wasn't bad at all BUT the food wasn't worthy of the price tag in our opinion. There were 8 of us dining that evening (middle of last week) but the place wasn't over-run with customers so we expected to have no trouble with the menu - we're... More

service and food were excellent. Limited range of choices but all executed really well. Nice surroundings, good buzz and staff were professional. Would recommend here and will eat here again.

Love this little gem of a restaurant at the foot of quay street. Been here a few times and absolutely love the food and the service. We had a new waiter last week and she was a bit scatty but more than made up for this by being very chatty and charming. Scallops with risotto and black pudding was fabulous.... More

Our party of 4 travelers enjoyed this restaurant immensely. The beef is fantastic, in house aged and cooked to perfection. Good wine list, attentive, friendly staff, a definite delight in Galway.

I was really disappointed with a recent experience with this resturant. It seems as though they are trading on their past reputation. This is the second time that I had a poor experince here...I assumed that the previous visit was just an off day. They really need to look at customer service and general attitude to get back to where... More

Had a lovely menu. Not so sure if was good value for menu. Nice food but I guess you get what you pay for. Charlotte- the waitress at our table was very friendly and accommodating.

We were here on a Saturday night and found the service great, the staff were attentive but not over bearing. The setting in the back room is lovely and quaint. The food however was just above average. We had coq au vin to start which was quite nice and fell off the bone perfectly but certainly not the best I've... More
