.Really a top notch place in Dublin. The service was great & the food even better!--I'm attaching a few pictures; one of which was the small wine and cheese plate--just incredible. It is a close walk from temple bar area; its right before you walk into the Dublin castle area. Don't miss this place!--It's a pleasant change from the other... More

Had lunch here in May 2013, two people. We started off with the 'small' mixed-platter. This was really the highlight. Various array of cheeses and hams (and pate) on a wooden tray mixed with salad underneath. With a glass of red wine, a great combination. We shared this platter between the two of us. It was very filling; we were... More

I came out of Dublin Castle looking for a place to eat at and I seen this Chez Max Restaurant. Now I have to put this restaurant to my test of being a non-meat eater, I stepped into the restaurant and it was like I stepped into a very nice Paris cafe. The people in the restaurant was very friendly... More

I have visited here on several shopping trips to Dublin with my wife and our friends. On this occasion, I ate with three other work colleages. We had a most enjoyable meal, drinks, dessert and were served by an excellent waitress whose straight talking humour was most refreshing. The menu has gained more and more of the classic french dishes... More

Our group of six had a fabulous meal at Chez Max Sunday night. Real french food in Dublin. The starters of french onion soup, smoked salmon and salmon mousse, salads, were great. All mains were excellent, with the burgandy beef and cassoulet being the best. The wine list is small but excellent. Teh creme brulee shared by all was supreme!... More

This is a very nice restaurant. For anyone who likes escargot or frogs legs this is one of the few places to have them. The food is French-style so anyone who expects burger and chips may not be best pleased, although moulle frites should satisfy most. It has a very good and reasonably priced wine list. I have been in... More

one of the things that I liked about Chez Maz was the sense of authenticy from the decor right through to the 'real' French staff. A hidden gem right in the shadow of City Hall and Dublin Castle this is a great little find. I use the word 'little' with some caution as the place is small. We went for... More

Had pre show dinner here recently. Its quite small and you may be seated quite close to your neighbour but after that I would recommend it. The food was very nice and the Manager "Michele" was very efficient and friendly. I would return.
