We went to the unicorn on the recommendation of a Dubliner. Having walked in at 8.30 on a Friday night with no reservation we were happy with the way we were greeted - no problem, we'll get you a table. Then two more lots of tables came in and we were shoved to a side. When we did get a... More

Went for an early dinner in the Unicorn last Friday and my overall experience was Average!! We arrived at 6oc and the place was nearly empty (a real sign of the times as this place used to be hopping on a Friday night years ago). Anyway ordered from the early bird menu and we had calamari and poached pear salads... More

We went for a family supper whilst visiting Dublin for my Father's graduation in May. We had been recommended it but our friends did say they hadn't been for years. We had a reserved table which turned out to be by the door. The restarant were busy but REFUSED to say they were fully booked and kept taking bookings so... More

We were celebrating a significant birthday, so invited a group of our close friends to dinner at the Unicorn. My partner and I have never been to the restaurant before, and we selected it purely from walking past recently. During the initial planning and booking contacts with the manager, Georgio, he could not have been more helpful and friendly. We... More

Good location, pleasant surroundings, good waitress, very good food. You'd think that would rate a great review, but all this was undermined by a maitre d' and his reaction to our complaint of very late service. He actually argued with us as to whether our wait was for 40 minutes, as we stated, or 25 minutes, as he aggressively asserted.... More

Went here for lunch last Friday at 1pm. There was 5 of us. As soon as I arrived immediately regretted the booking, the room was empty, cold and there was a stiff atmosphere. There were 3 tables occupied. I arrived first and was given round table beside the window.. it was freezing. I had to ask for my coat to... More

Genuinely, the service in Mac Donalds is friendly and you are treated with a smile, the unicorn has a long way to go befor they appreciate even this most basic detail of running a restaurant. On our arrival we were (pointidly) ignored by three staff members at the door, asked by two others if we were ok, and then forgotten... More
