Yes, it is expensive. The food and the service are world class and make memories for a lifetime, though. We still tell stories about it. If you're staying at The Merrion, but sure to eat here.
We visited for lunch, fully expecting to go a la carte, but switched when we saw the lunch menu. Better value will be hard to find, at 60 euros for 3 courses and each choice of course (3 for each course) delectable. Each course quite superb, very fresh ingredients, immaculately presented. Pea soup with tortellini the best I have had...

RPG has always been my favorite place for many years. Every time we visited Dublin, a visit to RPG is a must to do thing. We have never been disappointed with the experience, food and the fine service provided. The lunch menu is definitely a real great value for money. We had lobster bisque to start with and my oh...

My spouse and I decided to splurge for our honeymoon and try Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud. We have eaten at Michelin star restaurants before and found them poor value, but it was anything but the case here.
We were early but greeted with great courtesy and ordered some fine champagne to wait. I wanted to do the Appetiser+Fish/Meat for €90, since...

Looking for the best restaurant in Dublin, we tried this one, which was also backed by the Michelin Guide. Poor service (extremely and unjustified slow) and too noisy environment. Good quality food, very French, but nothing to shout about, and far from justifying the price: silly expensive. Definitely, try other restaurants in Dublin before this one.
We went to Patrick Guilbaud's as part of my wife's 40th birthday celebrations last weekend and we were treated to a sumptuous lunch. The restaurant was a comfortable place to enjoy good company in, the service was wonderful and the three course meal was simply delicious.
Granted that the meal was not cheap but for a special occasion like this,...

We have eaten at a couple of one star Michelin restaurants in the past, and because we were to be in Dublin for a few days, decided to try a two star, expecting a quantum leap. I booked 3 months before our visit and confirmed the week beforehand. When we arrived, we were told that there was a special wine...

My first 2 Michelin star restaurant visit - so here are my observations.
The service is impeccable. My guest was a bit awkward and sent back his oysters because they tasted "bad". The waiter deal with the situation impeccably and a new dish arrived for him. When in Paris these situations can go horribly wrong but everything was resolved to...

Visited here in March for a birthday treat with my daughter. What a fantastic dining experience we had. From the moment we entered the restaurant to leaving we were treated so well and definitely will return. We had the tasting menu and what a delight it was not to know what we were eating until each course was put down...
