The last time we went to the Classroom we left after a total lack of service, The staff member that dealt with us understood entirely and we were not charged for our drinks. The place was busy it is true but it was a total mess, people standing at the bar, leaning over people eating, tables placed at the bottom... More

We took 21 people here to celebrate a special birthday. The service was excellent, the food superb and it was a great evening. All the team were good, particularly Emma and Zoe. The atmosphere was friendly, relaxed and buzzing! More

Doesn' look much from outside but much larger within and has been very well fitted out. Staff were very attentive but gt overwhelmed by a large order. Menu looks OK but is a BT expensive. Food was good. All in all pleasant place for a meal anytime of day More

Thanks very much for visiting the Classroom and taking the time to review us. We keep our prices as low as we can given the quality of ingredients we use. Most of our products are sourced as locally as possible and are fresh and seasonal. Our waiting staff are keen and friendly when we employ them, we then invest heavily... More

The restaurant is located close to the school on the high street - hence the name perhaps? - so is in a central position. The furnishings are modern and to a high standard. The waiting staff were attentive and provided a high standard of service. The food was good but expensive on the whole. Would I go back, probably yes. More

Thanks very much for taking the time to comment on your recent visit to the Classroom. Many years ago this was the site of a local school, which consisted of pretty much 1 classroom. Hence the name. We're delighted you enjoyed your meal as a great deal of time and effort goes into our menus. This starts with sourcing the... More

Searched Nairn high street and only place that looked presentable was this bistro. Nice from outside, inviting from the inside. Food menu is minimal with a few daily specials. Wine list is extensive however expensive with Champagne coating up to £255.00 a bottle ( found this strange given the village) service was friendly, could not fault unlike the menu prices... More

Thanks very much for taking the time to comment on your recent visit to the Classroom. We are sorry you found us a bit expensive, however, a majority of our products are sourced locally from small producers and suppliers. As they don't have the buying power of larger businesses, their overheads are bigger. We go for quality and for this... More

Visited the Classroom in Nairn for a family meal and can honestly say it was excellent. On arrival we were greeted with a smile and the service continued that way. A mouth watering menu made the choice difficult but we settled on the fishcakes, 3 generous size tasty helpings on each plate, venison terrine lovely and a red pepper and goat... More

On recent weekend break to Nairn we found The Classroom where we were accommodated for an early-ish dinner despite not having booked. The surroundings and staff were great and the only criticism that I would have is that as a vegetarian the choice was very limited. More

Went for dinner with 2 friends, lovely menu, choice of meat, fish and veggie options, the service was friendly and efficient and not pushy. Lovely place. Would go again without any worries. There was also a lovely selection of specials, using local ingredients ... and the puddings were delicious, recommend the chocolate selection. £99 for 3 of us with beers... More
