Timed our visit to perfection and got a table within minutes of our arrival. We opted for Bruschetta and Soup of the Day (Tomato & Basil) for starters. The bruschetta was delicious and the soup was thick and extremely tasty! For mains, we had a range of dishes (butterfly chicken breast with spaghetti in a tomato sauce, same dish with... More

We tried this place on our first night in Fort William, after a very long journey. It was close to a car park in the town centre and we were too tired to explore any further, so decided to try it out; it was a great choice. The food was excellent, and the service was friendly and prompt. We enjoyed... More

After spending the day walking in Glen Nevis I was really looking forward to a tasty pizza and a couple of glasses of wine. However I was let down on both counts. The pizza base looked and tasted like it was out of a packet - very disappointing in an Italian restaurant. The wine was fine but instead of being... More

There are some good reviews of The Stables so I'm perfectly prepared to accept that we found them on a bit of an off day, but our experience was about as average as you could get. Two surly, impersonal waiting staff failed to crack a smile throughout our entire visit, the garlic bread was like herb encrusted loft insulation and... More

Frequent visitors to Fort William over the years we've enjoyed many a meal in Stables. We landed lucky tonight with a table available straight away. There is sometimes a short wait but seats and drinks are available. The food was excellent as always - tonight we chose bruscheta, a chicken breast with mozarella and tomato topping and spaghetti in tomato... More
