Went on a very busy night but the food was very good, the staff efficient and the atmosphere warm. I had chicken stuffed with haggis, new potatoes and veg and they were very well cooked. A real find in a small place like Thurso.

Great service and friendly staff. Really enjoyed the meals we had after a long days travel. I went for a simple fish and chip meal and it was delicious.

It’s only open on 3 evenings a week (Thu, Fri, Sat), apart from lunchtimes. Evening openings are also restricted - open early and closes early. It has personality and, as it’s so popular, it has atmosphere. Book to avoid disappointment. It’s become my dad’s favourite place to bring friends and family to eat at - he lives locally. The food... Went here for an evening meal positives : service prompt, atmosphere nice & wine was lovely, cheesecake was beautiful. Starters were average tasting. The sirlion steaks we had was the toughest I have had. When paying £20 for a steak you really expect it to be tender. We won't be rushing back.

Le Bistro is a delightful place for lunch. My only complaint is the difficulty of getting a reservation for dinner the limited nights they are open.

I always come in here when in Thurso! Small but friendly, always nice food and cheerful service. Their Cullen Skink is consistently delicious. Definitely can recommend this place.

Relaxed atmosphere. Excellent service. Lovely food. Super family meal. Not cordon bleu standard but that wasn't what we were looking for. Great value for money

You'll always get a good meal here! A must visit when in Thurso. Local produce used & seasonal items used as well.

A small. but nice restaurant. We could get a table without having to make a reservation. The main course is good, but the sticky toffee pudding is the best I've tasted so far.

I've eaten at the Bistro over the last 10-12 years, and have always found it very good. Jenny and her staff are attentive, and helpful without being over the top. The restaurant is light & airy & welcoming. The menu features locally-sourced food, and it's always well presented. We lunched here today (closed in the evenings in January), and really... More
