First time I had been in this restaurant since it was taken over and changed from L'Ariosta. The makeover was grat and only negative is the loss of the little dance floor. L'Ariosta's was my favourite restaurant in Glasgow and I was sad when I heard of the change but after my recent visit it is back to being my... More

Arrived on a busy cup final day ,this place was packed , but no problem to the busy and cheery staff. To start we had an amazing anti pasta platter , beautiful cured meats ,cheeses and roast veg , followed by controfillet of beef and linguini with prawns ,both dishes faultless. For dessert we had chocolate fondant and salted caramel... More

My wife, daughter and I went to the Barolo after a long and extremely wet days shopping in Glasgow. We were tired and hungry. This place perked us up no end, beautiful decor, nice ambience and terrific staff and of course great food! We had arancini , soup, and prawn cocktails to start followed by Tagliolini, polo arrosto and sea bream... More

Called for a late lunch and ate from the set menu at £12.95 for two courses. The calimari for starter was superb, tender and well presented. We both had the chicked with parma ham for our main. I haven't tasted chicked like this for a long long time. It was char grilled, a bit crispy on the outside....but moist and... More

Ten of us went for lunch as one of our colleague's was leaving our business. Service, although pleasant was fairly slow despite the restaurant being fairly quiet. Decor was beautiful and the food nice. We all seemed to enjoy it. Nothing special but I would maybe return if I was down that way whilst shopping in the city. More

Tucked away just off Argyle St. in Glasgow city centre, this eaterie is a little gem. Excellent decor and very friendly and attentive staff. The meal was first class and well presented. Menu is quite extensive and gives a choice ranging from simple pasta dishes to more exotic Steaks, Veal and Fish. Some may think it a tad expensive, but... More

I'd been here with my Dad and partner back in January, and spent a fair bit of time being nostalgic for L'Ariosto. Dad got me a birthday gift of some vouchers for Barolo, so back we went at the weekend. The highlight of our previous visit had been the service and the service levels were just as good, if not...
