Went for our wedding anniversary lunch on Saturday. Absolutely blown away. A little cocktail to start while sitting at front of bar looking through menus. Per theatre / lunch menu is fantastic value. £20 per person for 3 courses. The fillets of Plaice on a bed of Risoto that I had as my main was fantastic. Staff are vet friendly... More

Our first time ever in Glasgow's second oldest restaurant recently was a real delight. Courteous but unobtrusive service complimented by a substantial menu with both depth and variety. Range of prices to suit all budgets, including a pre-theatre. Downstairs is their sister restaurant Shandon Belles; didn't try it but the menu looked down to earth and honest. Would strongly recommended... More

We were staying at the Hilton Glasgow and founded this restaurant just 5-10 mins walk away. OK, it's a bit of a surprise as it seems sandwiched in between M8 and a residential housing area but wait until you get in ... Beautifully put out (classic furniture, white table cloths, staff in traditional waiting garb), friendly and helpful staff and... More

This is one of the best restaurants we have eaten in the UK. It was pricey but in our opinion it was worth it. The ambience was a cross between pub, dark with booths and a French Bistro. The food was really fabulous, we had scallops and pigeon both entree's were served perfectly. All of the waitstaff seem to be... More

Beware - this restaurant is not within easy walking distance of anywhere. It is situated in a the middle of what appears to be a high rise estate, next to the M8 flyover. I'd suggest taking a cab. However, once there you are greeted with a very well appointed restaurant, with attentive and diligent staff. The interior is dark, a... More

Had a fantastic meal here. It is indeed equal first with "One Devonshire" as others have told me since i posted that One Dev was the best. To serve up such excellent food on a Monday night when it is quiet is a measure of a very well run kitchen and quality chefs. It is onlya few quid more than... More

Had a fantastic meal on Saturday and could not fault the place, staff or food. I would highly recommend this restaurant and if you are staying at the Marriott by the motorway then it's just a short walk.

We visited on a Saturday evening, and the restaurant was buzzing. Customers appeared to be enjoying themselves. We had a warm welcome and the staff were friendly and professional. The restaurant itself is attractive in decor and nicely laid out. The scallop starter was lovely although my ravioli was a little undercooked. The pigeon main course was nice but could... More

We booked this place because it got a good recommendation on TripAdvisor but were disappointed. Its in a part of town you wouldn't walk to or from, & its like stepping back in time to have dinner with your elderly relatives, which is ok if you are expecting it - we weren't & found the whole experience rather boring -... Wow - first visit certainly won't be my last. Wonderful interior , great service , great atmosphere, great selection of food , great vegetarian choice. Don't leave without having the desert platter. Will I be back - too damn right I will !!!
