Great food but a bit pricey. The food quality and good service makes up for it. Located in a little out of the way corner near the end of Grassmarket at Cowsgate.
Just discovered as a friend brought me. As a hard critic of coffee this is pretty good. The soups are great and home made and the staff are friendly and helpful. Agree with the last reviewer on the cushions needing clean. Thank you to the manager for the honest response, so refreshing.
My boyfriend and I stopped by and went in on the off-chance, Hula was busy and looked clean, pleasant and inviting. The waitresses were polite and friendly and we both got the £6.50 lunch meal deal which was a boul of (delicious) soup and either a toasted bagel or wrap. The food was lovely, and the soup was obviosly home... More
Thanks very much for your review. I'm really sorry the furniture is not up to scratch at the moment. It's driving me crazy too! The bench seating requires specialist cleaning which takes 5 days - we are waiting until 22 Dec (11 days and counting!) until we close for Christmas and it will all be done then. Looking for a quick coffee early Sunday morning. Wanted a break from the usual Costa etc. Had bagels with bacon, carrot cake and tea. Best black coffee in ages. Delicious food and relaxed service. Great find and we'll be back.
Our smoothie was good, the wraps that we had were not. They were very dry, plain and overpriced. Stop by and get a juice but don't bother getting any food
I've passed by this place a number of times and finally ventured in last week for Lunch. My husband and I had the soup and sandwich deal which was not only very tasty but also good value. The coffee was so good we went back two days later for brunch! The staff were very friendly and the free WiFi worked.... More
