We were staying in belfast for a few nights and friends had recommended this bar and we weren't disappointed. The food was great, and I can definitely recommend the steak. There was live music and the staff were lively. The food was a bit slow at coming out but the atmosphere more than made up for that. I would definitely recommend.
McHugh's is a favourite of mine when in Belfast. Been there three times in three years and the food never disappoints. It's as simple as that. We found the staff very friendly on a tough weekend weather wise in March 2013. They were very accommodating and flexible with the menus and times of early bird as they had very few...

This might be a great pub for a drink but it is terrible for food. Had lunch there today and it was the worst food I've had in Belfast.
I have eaten here many times and the food is excellent. wonderful old building, one of if not the oldest bar in belfast, Lots of great bands play here. Although sometimes when the band is rehearsing and they have music playing in the bar at same time it can be deafening. I suggest the bar switsh the music off. Great...

I've been into McHugh's on many occasions an have never had a bad experience. Friendly staff, good food and great pints. Can be hectic on a Saturday night but that just shows what a great venue this place is!
Very nice place to eat & have drinks with your friends. Located in the city center close to the clock tower. Nice atmosphere and nice people here.
I was in Belfast on St. Patrick's Day with my husband & 30 others as part of a charity cycle. As there was a couple of children with us someone recommended McHugh's. When we arrived the place was totally packed out with no room to move but great banter. We had booked a table at 4.30pm for 20 of us...

As a tourist in the city on a holiday, we just looking for a fun place to try a traditional pub. We were very pleasantly surprised by their special Easter menu, 3 courses for 16 pounds. We didn't have reservations, had to wait a few minuets in the pub downstairs, nice, plentiful seating, fair price on the drinks. Great selections...
