my current boyfriend and I went here on a date around september last year. we were very surprised at how nice it was, given the location and the fact that it's a bit hard to see from outside- it even took us a while to work out how to get in! the service was great and the food was lovely.... More

We'd just gotten to Belfast; settled into the hotel and were ready to go to dinner. We wandered around for a little while, getting absolutely nowhere and were feeling ready to give up when we spotted a sign for Safa, tucked away above a pub. We were able to be seated and had a great a time. The korma I... More

Weekend break to Belfast with bus tours and trips to attractions during the day. Booked table at Safa in advance and arrived on time; so no time to go to Kelly's Cellar on the ground floor below the restaurant. Welcomed immediately and taken to our table. Modern decor with clean lines and runners on the table. Service prompt and attentive... More

I have been to a fair few Indian restaurants in Belfast, but even though TripAdvisor reviews may suggest it, I don't think it in the best in Belfast. The chicken tikka didn't have that Tandorri or charred taste, but instead seemed like it had been boiled. Was disappointing, as this is easy to get right. Th nann bread was especially... More

I had lunch on Bank Holiday and there were only 4 tables of customers. Therefore the service was very attentive. The food was delicious and a very good value for lunch.

This was our first time here for lunch and I have to say the food wasn't nice at all. The curries tasted like soup and were no seasoned properly. The nann tasted like it had been bought in tesco- horrible. The rice was bland and over cooked. Sadly I don't think I would be back.

Elegant restaurant with good service and above all the food is absolutely delicious. The samosa was very nice and the Byriani rice superb. Definitely worth trying it.

Super food and friendly, attentive (not overly attentive) service. Disregard the comments about the area being dodgy. It is perfectly safe. A must try!!

We visited this place on the back of other trip advisor views and weren't disappointed. Food was fantastic and the service was even better. Would recommend to anyone, worth popping into the pub (Kelly's Cellar) next door as well.

Went for lunch today withmy partner and it was fabulous. The food was delicious...I had Lamb Rogan Josh and asked for it spicey, when it came it was the best RJ I've ever had. Portions were more than adequate and the service excellent. We will be back soon!
