A bit pricey but good service and well presented food

I took a couple of travel-weary colleagues from the USA here and all three of us were very impressed by the quality of the food and the beautiful presentation. Meat, fish and vegetables were all delicious and there is a focus on using locally sourced ingredients. There is a good selection of beers on offer and the garden at the...

We found this restaurant curtesy of Tripadvisor, we were in the area for a wedding and wanted to eat somewhere nice.
The Bell was absolutely fantastic, from its picturesque location to the beautifully maintained gardens, first impressions were high. We were greeted inside by very friendly staff who could not have been more accommodating if they tried! The inside of...

Went here recently for a family meal on a Monday night. Pub and restaurant were quiet but the food and service didn't disappoint.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Impressive selection of fish and meat dishes, mostly using local produce and all cooked and presented beautifully. Extensive selection of real ales and ciders plus a good wine list.

I love the atmosphere at the Bell , the food is great and the real ales a treat. Recently had a meal with parents and was unfortunately let down by the service when some wrong meals arrived at the table and things were a little slower than they really should have been. Get this bit right and in my view...

After seeing the new menu we booked a table for a Friday night. The pub was busy and extremely cosy ...we were welcomed by the Lee's and their friendly staff and seated to our table.
My husband had mussels for starter which he thoroughly enjoyed. As I had never been tempted to try mussels before I knew I had to...

Genuine pub with a good selection of beers and ciders. We'd been told that the food was good, and it certainly was. Interesting menu with plenty of fish and seafood. I had the grilled crevettes, followed by skate. The food is pub style rather than fine dining, and therefore good portions. Excellent quality and flavour, well set out. Good friendly...

We stopped at the Bell Inn for lunch and took advantage of their 2 courses for £9.95 offer.
The starters were exceptional - 2 chose whitebait and I had the mussels. All 3 were delicious with great flavour.
The main courses were good but maybe slightly disappointing after the starters which raised our expectations.
Compared to the motorway services we...
