My wife and I had booked Lunch last Saturday - returning to Casanova for our 5th or 6th visit in the last couple of years. Many restaurants lose their appeal after a number of visits, but not this one!
We were welcomed like long lost friends, and so thoroughly enjoyed a 3 course lunch, accompanied by some smashing wine, and...

Excellent food well presented. What more does one need to say - I've been here before and I'll come here again.
ate here with a friend without a reservation and was amazed by the quality of the food - had sewin which was superb - I didn't want the meal to end! the choice of specials alone was quite phenomenal and the usual menu looked very interesting. My friend had pasta which was homemade and she said it was fantastic. The...

Casanova is not a large restaurant, thankfully we had booked as even by 1800 on a Saturday they were fully booked for the evening. The welcome and service is first class with olives, a bottle of water and excellent bread bought to your table whilst you choose your meal. There is a varied choice on the menu (5 starters and...

My husband and I had lunch in Casanova today. This has been our third visit to the restaurant since my last review written in December 2012and we are completely hooked! The food is so delicious and never a disappointment. For starters, my husband had sardines and I had carpaccio. We then had pasta alla amatriciana and arrabiatta (apologies for any...

a small quaint place with a small choice of foods (even less if you are vegetarian )
the prices per dish were around £15 each (£22 including a starter)
(expensive if considered there is no meat),
however, the staff were very very friendly and welcoming with a great atmosphere,
i would come again but maybe ask for some further option...

Dear sir/madam,
i'm glad you enjoyed the food and your evening with us. The limited choice of food on the menu is to ensure the best standard and quality especially considering we have a very small kitchen. We only give one veg option on the menu but we can always offer a few more on the day depending on the...

We had the spring lunch for £10.95 each.
Food was very good, service was good and the restaurant itself is very nice.
I had Carpaccio for starter and my main course was risi e bisi. My mother had Sarde al saor for starter and agnello for her main course.
The flavours in all the food were delicious. My mother hasn't...

Recommended by the hotel front desk and glad we went. The owners are wonderful, the service excellent, and the food was outstanding. The wine list has the best of Italian regions and the selected Sangiovese was outstanding. Worth the visit you won't be disappointed.
Amazing authentic Italian, great service & the food was first class. Only criticism is that they don't serve garlic bread, although the standard of Minestrone soup more than made up for this, along with the ragu.
