Staying in good old Lavenham from the States I dined here with my aunt I am visiting with. I had two crusty doorstep style sanwiches and salad garnish and potato chips which was 5.30 of your English pounds and a pot of Earl Grey for one at 1.80 of your English pounds the food was terrific fresh doughy bread crisp... Lovely quaint building nice view out of the door so we could watch the world go by. Service and friendliness of staff very good. Crusty granary bread very nice but fillings so so. Too much butter used to the point some had to be taken out, no offer of salad in sandwich but there was a small side salad garnish... More

We visited on Tuesday 26th march, an absolutey freezing day and were given a very warm welcome by the owner. The food was beautifully prepared and presented. I had what looked like home made bread with chicken mayo and salad with crisps. My husband had a baguette with tuna mayonaise and the same sides as myself. The portions were generous... More

We visited on a very cold morning in February for morning coffee. This was a warm, friendly place with delicious cakes, fast service and an experience in a very ancient timber frame building. The upstairs tearoom overlooks the main street and is an excellent place for people-watching. The cream tea was reasonably priced and delicious.

Visited early february and ordered a cream tea for 2 for £6.25 as advertised on the board outside, the cream tea took a long time to come and was of a very poor standard. The owner seemed more interested in texting on her phone and looking at her self rather than trying to run a tea shop. When we came to pay we...
