Excellent food, friendly ambience and good service, the Lighthouse is not to be missed if one is eating in Aldeburgh. The combination of a French Chef and a comprehensive winelist makes this a good experience.

My wife and I went to the Lighthouse as we fancied going to Aldeburgh and thought we'd have lunch to make it a bit of a treat. i choose The Lighthouse as it was the number 1 in Aldeburgh on trip advisor. and i can see why. It's very unusual for me to have 3 courses when we go for...

My husband took me to The Lighthouse for my birthday lunch last Friday, and we absolutely loved it! Everything on the menu look delicious - it was hard to make a decision what to have. We had a mixture of items from the a-la-carte menu, and the set menu, and it was all lovely. I had 4 oysters to start...

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. The service was excellent, friendly and attentive. I loved the halloumi with mango salsa and enjoyed the fish and chips. Key lime pie was one of the best I've had. My partner enjoyed salami with pickles followed by an excellent cassoulet with local sausages. I will be heading back here next time we are in...

Great food and great service. The staff always make a big effort to get to know the customers. Can always recommend. Particularly check out the fixed price dinner menus available before 7:15pm. They are good value (although £4.50 for a glass of house wine seems a little steep).
We were so looking forward to dinner here as it was one of my late fathers favourite restaurants and the reviews were quite favourable. The reality was so disappointing. Firstly we were shown to a table under the stairs the restaurant was fairly empty?? I had potted shrimps they were ok not really tasty and tipped out onto the plate...

For any restaurant to have people waiting for tables on a Sunday evening you know you've found something worth waiting for.
We were sat in the front half of the floor near the window after a short wait. The staff were attentive, extremely polite, well informed and willing to spend time; I have food allergies and the waiter didn't have...

Excellent restaurant and lovely staff just spoiled by continually hassling us to vacate the table by 8.15 in the end we left early no deserts no coffee with the upstairs area virtually empty. Really spoilt the night and probably will not go back as a local can you afford to do this?
Apart from that the food was great and...
