Vegetarian and fish only which is a nice change. Plenty for all the family to choose from - 7 to 70. Great specials. Its always busy with locals and visitors. Hard to leave the cafe without then picking up local fresh fish and veg from the shop.

On a cold day we visited this restaurant for afternoon tea. We wanted tea cakes, but they did not do them. We settled instead for carrot cake and flapjack, and tea. The flapjack was fine at £1, but the carrot cake was OK, but at £2.95 rather a small portion. There was a fair selection of cakes, as well as... More

You enter the restaurant via the fishmongers which is not only a good idea on the part of the owner but it gives you chance to see where your meal will be coming from and to make some purchases on the way out! we are big fish lovers which you need to be if you going to come here, she... More

If you are shopping in Aldeburgh or visiting Thompson’s excellent art gallery this is a great place to lunch. Note it is not normally open in the evening and it is not really suitable for young children as the tables are quite close together. The food is vegetarian (including fish) and the cooking style has far Eastern influences. On my... More

Always full, so a good sign. Great veggie food, contemporary menus & modern decor. Can be problematic getting a seat!

We visited the market on the first Saturday of the month which is when the farmers market is held. A huge variety of delicious home made food and local produce, and lots of samples to taste too! The antique rooms have a good collection of interesting but overpriced bric a brac, furniture, glassware etc worth exploring for a while on... More

AM is a cafe-style restaurant linked to a fish-shop/deli. It stands out from the twee and expensive Aldeburgh tea-room fare by virtue of its interesting menu, majoring on fish. Chili squid and tempura prawns with a fascinating dipping sauce were great, while the risotto to follow was excellent and the Pad Thai Prawn let down only by using spaghetti (!)... More
