Description: If the name of this restaurant alone isn't enough to make you want to dine here, then we'll eat our Dhaka topi hats. However, in case you need any further incentive we're delighted to say that this super-cosy establishment is superb. With whitewashed walls and brightly coloured hand-woven cushions, the Nepalese dining room at Yak Yeti Yak in Bath is warm, peaceful, and popular with a fresh-faced crowd who look like they climb mountains just for fun. While - as far as we can tell - there is no actual yeti on the menu, there are plenty of other star attractions such as the spicy beef stir-fried with onions, sweet peppers and tomatoes.

We ate here early in the evening - two adults and four children: a 12-year old, two 10-year olds and an 8 year old, all boys and all full of energy - having had it recommended to us by my 24-year-old son. We all loved it! Sitting on the floor cushions added to the fun, and the early evening fixed-price... More

We had the lunch menu - starter, main course, coffee - £|0,50. The food was simple (and that is not a criticism) and delicately flavoured. Fantastic dal! The best way I can think of to describe it is as north indian food with a chinese influence (in some dishes at least). Will definitely go back and pick from the main... More

This was my second visit and I think the food was better than last time or maybe I made better choices. All the food was absolutely delicious, I especially enjoyed the black lentil dal and the chilli chicken. We were a group of 7 and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I was particularly impressed that they asked if... More

Great food... interior is and ambience is great.. they have made the best possible to give Nepali touch... Authentic Nepali food.. not like other restaurants that say Nepalese/ indian and sell indian foods.. ! very friendly staff... it was great!

My son and I liked the food tremendously. It's similar to Northern Indian food, but different enough to be very interesting. The restaurant was lovely, the service was excellent, and the food tasted good. I'd highly recommend it.

Hard to find, but a great little hotel if you want something different. Food was good, service was good. Prices were reasonable. I enjoyed lounging around on the floor while having dinner, but it may not be for everyone

Not one of the cuisines that one comes across in every city; the Yak Yeti Yak Nepalese restaurant is down a narrow flight of stairs in a typical Bath basement. We dined simply, but enjoyed our food - some of ingredients sourced from the owner’s home farm in Nepal – and served by family members. The mains are priced at... More

We enjoyed our introduction to the food of Nepal. we had a lamb appetizer that was exceptional, but we were less impressed with the chicken. Portion sizes are very small, so you will need to orders larger number of items. Overall, a very interesting experience and well recommended.

The food was very tasty but we found th portion sizes to be quite small for the price and we are not big eaters.

Our concierge gave us the tip to go here, we must confess we have never tried Nepalese food before so can't judge the authenticity. First impression: nice atmosphere with Nepalese decoration. Friendly reception and service. We ate Yak Yeti Yak beef: taste, presentation and portion size were absolutely wonderful. Good value for money, super taste. We'd visit again if we... More
