This pub/ restaurant is really unique and makes a welcomed change to chain restaurants. There are big wooden benches, which you will share with others unless you have enough people to fill them, so it's not a place for romance! Service was excellent and quick Great pub menu, food was presented nicely and to an excellent standard. It's also very... More

Every few months a crowd of wrinkles from Saltford Golf Club meet up for lunch, there is usually up to 20 dining. Last Friday we met at The Hall & Woodhouse in Bath, a place we had visited before, and previously had a good meal. It is normal for us to choose the lunch menu which on average means two... More

We went a couple of times when it first opened and we weren't very impressed. So we hadn't been for some time. It was lovely sunny day so we decided to give it a whirl. We went to the roof terrace and enjoyed a delicious lunch. The service was very afable. Although the menu is more limited on the terrace... More

I was born in Bath and went to school there but now live in Sydney. However a group of us returned for a 50 year reunion. After a golf challenge match at the pitch & putt in Victoria Park we repaired to this new (to most of us anyway) establishment. If you are visiting Bath this is a great place... More

This is a great place for a drink or to eat. The roof terrace is really good with views across the City, they have waitress service to bring drinks to your seat, or there is a small bar on the terrace. It's a really good place to meet on a weekend or to relax and read the Sunday papers.

Lucky again this weekend. The city of Bath is packed with tourists. All hotels and restaurants are full. We couldn't book anywhere, luckily we got into Hall and Woodhouse in time as some people were leaving and we managed to get a tiny table. There was really a party atmosphere inside, everybody having fun. The food was good and so... More

I visit this place regularly, about once a week, as I live close by. Usually I have nothing but praise for it but tonight I visited with friends from out of town and our visit was ruined by a waitress with a really bad attitude. We'd been served at the bar all evening by the usual friendly bar staff but... More

Bath seemed very quiet the evening we visited, with lots of empty restaurants. We wanted something a bit livelier and this delivered. The food was straightforward, well presented and plentiful, although not cheap, we felt the evening was worth it. We had drinks outside on roof terrace - a rare treat! Staff were friendly and service quick, but we didn't... More

Diabilical, terrible service, food was a disappointment, as after waiting for 45 minutes just for simple breakfast, we left hungry! "The chef told everyone to start at 9.00am" we were told as the excuse, so how come we left after nearly an hour wait for food that did not arrive - Bank holiday compacency no doubt, but during the week... We had a lovely long lazy lunch here, the food was delicious, especially the sharing boards and a yummy burnt cambridge cream. We were a group of 9 and the service was excellent, the staff were really friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a fun meal out in Bath.
