My husband and I found this great restaurant by chance and are so glad because it was a great experience. The waiter was a friendly guy who gave us great service with a smile and recommended a few things on menu which was appreciated. We had a special brucetta and squid to start which was very tasty followed by the... More

Disinterested waiter, total let down as just the night before we went to Jamie's Italian in Manchester and had such outstanding service. We were taken through a passageway by the kitchen which felt like a staff only zone, bit awkward. Food was ok but smaller portions. All around quite disappointing.

On turning up on sunday evening (without booking i might add) my wife and myself asked for a table for two. On being shown to a table near the door (after a 15minute wait)we politely asked if we could have a table upstairs,we were then taken to the next floor and although there seemed to be quite a few tables... The wait for the table even though we had booked was not ideal as the bar area was very small however once seated our evening greatly improved. The service we had was fantastic c and the young waiter knew the menu well and was able to faultlessly explain the options and make informed recommendations. We both ate seafood and it... More

Visited on wife's birthday. As usual food was excellent - much more imaginative than other "Italian" restaurants. The whole place has a friendly ambiance, and as usual the staff were excellent. By joining their gold club we got a free bottle of Prossecco and one free desert as well as some complimentary treats. It is nice to see such an... More

We have just tried to book a table at Jamie's Italian restaurant in Bath to be advised that they cannot accommodate anyone with a gluten intolerance, despite this being possible at other Jamie's Italian restaurants. The reason? They have been advised to stop cooking gluten-free pasta in the same pot (and presumably the same liquid) as traditional pasta. Beware all... More

I took my girlfriend back to Jamies to propose as we had been there on our first ever weekend away. I contacted the Manager beforehand to ask for his help. He could not have done more to help, especially since I was in Afghanistan when I contacted him. On the night, the food was exceptional, as was the service. All... More

I like Jamie and his recipe's, his enthusiasm for life and his general wanting to make the world a better place. The thing that bothers me though is how the massive marketing machine has taken over and made him into something of a salesman and you can't escape him wherever you go! For this reason alone, I was a little... More

Having booked and expecting a great experience we found the food very bland and the wine awful. We returned one bottle as the waitress told us it was corked (screw-top white??) but the same bottle was equally awful. The cheese gnocchi starter was good but my choice of Mortadella & Ricotta Caramelle was very disappointing (very thick pieces of filled... More
