The Chequers does give a very decent roast. The cote de boeuf we had was well cooked and flavourful and the rice pudding for dessert was good. I found the place a tad pricey, though. But I guess you get what you pay for and we got a good Sunday roast.

This is a well run Gastro Pub, went there for lunch. The fish was superb as was the starter and dessert. Great ambiance, great service, could not honestly find anything wrong with it, which for me is very unusual. The meal was of better quality than some Michelin listed restaurants I have been to.

We have the privilege of living just by The The Chequers and regularly enjoy a meal out there. Without a doubt one of my favourite pubs in Bath. Their other two, Marlborough Tav and Hare & Hounds are also well-worth a visit!

Great ambience, wine selection and full on delicious Sunday lunch. we shared the rib of beef with dauphinoise. Absolutely divine.

One of the best Sunday lunch I ever had me the girlfriend and her sister. Who lives 8 doors down from this wonderful place nick my server was grate as well.

After reading reviews on trip advisor and actually being unable to get into higher rated restaurants we settled on chequers, and we were very glad we did. The food was amazing the taste and presentation fit of any Michelin star restaurant. The service and staff were very helpful and very attentive. Would definitely return

We visited Bath at the weekend and only found The Chequers because we did a search online beforehand for dog friendly restaurants/pubs in the area. Really glad we did find it because the food and service were excellent.
