Two of us visited Casanis and had the set lunch which we agreed was very good value at £20 per head. The food was simple but very well done - I do think the mark of an excellent restaurant is that they can present something like an omelette and make you feel that you are getting fine dining. Visiting again... More

Casinas was recommended to us by our B&B hosts, and our experience did not disappoint. After a cordial welcome we were seated at a cosy table by a window. We chose selections from a fixed price menu, which were classic French. The food was well presented, delicious, and surprisingly inexpensive. What a pleasant experience!

Second visit to Casanis. Every bit as good as the first. Wonderful food, great service and a relaxed atmosphere. Really can't fault it. The menu is not huge but all six of us were hugely spoilt for choice! Three delicious courses and great wine were not cheap but good value.

I was very much looking forward to eating at Casanis for our wedding anniversary, and did quite a lot of research before choosing this restaurant - there are an abundance of good restaurants in Bath to choose from! My husband advised them when reserving that it was a special occasion, but despite this we were given a terrible table, and... More

Dear lisaminx. Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. We are very sorry that you did not feel you received the special attention you wanted. Our tables are bistro style but although we dont consider any of them "terrible", we could have offered you another one if you had mentioned to us that you were unhappy.... More

It's actually a couple of months since we visited Casanis, we went on a horrible evening in January. The weather was so bad I was surprised they remained open and impressed! Despite most of Bath grinding to a halt and being the only people in the restaurant from mid evening (purely due to the weather) we were made to feel... More

WOW ! WOW! WOW! Some of the tastiest French food I have had in a long time. Casanis is a French restaurant in a quaintly and beautifully decorated house in Bath. Food is lovingly prepared and presented. I had an exquisite smoked salmon and asparagus tart with poached quails egg, ( superbly short, shortcrust pastry) an egg custard subtly flavoured with... More

We enjoyed the meal and the atmosphere I had the rack of lamb £23.00 and was surprised that the dish was only 2 lamb cutlets as a rack is normally 3/4 cutlets. I personnally disagree with a service charge as I believe it should be up to the customer

Dear mparr27. thank you for taking the time to use tripadvisor and for your feedback. Unlike many restaurants all our dishes include a full accompaniment of vegetables, potatoes etc. and our menus with prices are published on our website and in the window of the restaurant, so we are very sorry you were disappointed. We agree with you that service... More

Lovely little place, excellent food and service. I little pricey, but definitely worth it. Only two minor complains: (1) wine by the glass -- a single option for white and red. That might be OK for a cheap chain, but not for an otherwise top notch restaurant. Paid £4.50 on a reasonable Merlot to accompany a wonderful £26 filet steak... More

Its name sounds more Italian than French but don't be misled. The cooking is French, and very good too. It is not right in the busy shopping area of town, being instead not far from the Circus - but if you haven't seen the Circus you should go there too, because the architecture is stunning. Casanis is small, elegant in... More

We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel. Normally apprehensive when hotels recommend somewhere but we were not dissapointed. The host was welcoming and the staff couldn't do enough for you. Whilst the restaurant is not cheap it was well worth the money with everything cooked to perfection and full of flavours. It would be able to hold its own... More
