Many thanks to the staff at 1331 for putting on such a splendid wedding reception for Sarah and Ollie. All of our guests have made comment on how much they enjoyed the food and seamless service. visited 1331 last night with my hubby whilst visiting york,great atmosphere and staff,what can i say,we were given fantastic service by a lovely young man,the food was fab,we both had ham terrine with beetroot chutney,i had lamb rump and hubby had lamb shank,lots of lovely veggies and nice beer to cool us down,a great experience and we were greatly suprised... We went here after reading some glowing reviews and we weren't let down. The service was very friendly and most importantly the food was amazing, possibly the best breakfast we have ever had! This one is off the beaten track but still central York, different areas to eat. Had lunch with a friend so reasonably priced menu. Evening eaten in the 'log fire' room (its artificial hologram on wall) Food fantastic the menu choice is good and even the standard dishes come totally different to what you may expect but they are delicious.... This restaurant is part of large pub/bar occupying three storeys. The restaurant part is on the top floor. Service was very friendly , laid back and efficient. Free wifi and newspapers were offered. The food did take a little while to come but was well worth the wait.

Good extensive menu with a good priced 3 course menu which we offered from everythin was home home cooked food but be prepared for a wait it took about half an hour for the starters to arrive! It's a very quirky little bar restaurant though and worth a visit if you have time for a very leisurely lunch or dinner!

Staff were very helpful and attentive - but not too much. Tried this place as a new restaurant and will be going back. Tried a couple of sharing platers between three and there was more than enough food.
