We had the set two or three course lunch menu and everything was fabulous. Excellent value for money and a car park right next to it. Highly recommended.

We happened to stagger across this restaurant while wandering the streets of York. Although it was a Monday and 5pm - we decided to eat there as the menu looked fantastic and at 14.95 for 3 courses incredible value. We had to be quick though - fully booked on a Monday ( a very good sign ) so we could...

Myself and my wife visited before seeing Sean Lock at the Barbican and had a fantastic 3 course meal each and a bottle of house red wine for under £50!!! Amazing value and the food was fantastic. The atmosphere was great, it was busy yet we were never rushed and really enjoyed our visit. I can't wait to go back.
Rustique certainly has a nice atmosphere as the place was full, even just on a standard Wednesday night, but not overly crowded. The service was pretty good also and I never really felt like we were left waiting. The food however is COMPLETELY average. I was extremely disappointed as I thought from all the reviews that it was going to...

Had a lovley three course meal here for £15. Atmosphere was buzzing and the place was full. Wine also reasonably priced. Highly recommended French style cuisine.
Great atmosphere, attentive service, authentic classic French dishes with a good selection of wines. The timing between dishes was about right and despite the restaurant being busy and new guests coming and going frequently we never felt rushed at any time. It is real gem of a Bistro and well worthy of its Tripadvisor rating. We will definitively rebook when next...

This restaurant has such a great atmosphere, as soon as you walk in you really notice it. Busy and buzzing. Food very good as well. Lovely French waiter who was very charming and even put a little candle in my pudding for me!
Went here on a visit to York with a friend after seeing it on Trip Advisor. On first impressions the layout is unusual but very pleasant as with most old buildings within the city
We had the set menu, Basque Egg to start after seeing the next table receive theirs. Very fast service which was fabulous as we were starved...

Went on a wednesday evening at 5.30 pm - was already packed so would advise making a reservation. Had set menu which was great value! Would recommend.
I went here last summer with my girlfriend. We ate off the set menu and with a bottle of wine came to just over £20 per head. The decor is French rustic as you would expect from the name of the restaurant. I had the chicken liver pate to start and the steak frites main, both were excellent and the...
