I have visited this place many times usually during the week. However when we visited on a Sunday it was quite a let down. We were seated very promptly but the table was filthy (sticky and covered in dry gravy) we both ordered Roast Turkey which arrived super quick, we were asked if we would like any sauces, to which... Cross Butts is a fantastic restuarant to visit, The decor is also very warming specially when its cold outside and the food well the only way to describe it as AMAZING!!!. Not the cheapest but of very good quality and you don't mind paying more for the quality. will return

We visited the restaurant for lunch on Tuesday 7/5/2013, there were a large number of people inside although it was not busy. We were seated promptly in lovely seats with a view over the hills and the duck pond outside. Drinks order was taken as soon as we sat down so there were no long waits to be served. The... More

Recently visited the stables with my wife, I thought generally quite good, until it came to my rump steak which cost 19 quid! The bragged it was local from their own farm supply,I think it came from a local cheap supermarket! It looked and tasted like a piece of rubber . STAY CLEAR.

10 of us visited on Saturday 27th April to celebrate a 70th Birthday. Very slow service and very poor food and very expensive. Won't be going back.

We booked this last minute hoping they could fit us in, which they did with ease. When we arrived we had a very friendly welcome by the bar guy who offered us a drink and a quick chat, then we were seated very swiftly on a nice boothed table. Menu choice is great and they were even able to accommodate... More

We went here on Easter Saturday and the only time we could get a table was for 8:30, not a problem to us. They sit you in the bar while your table is been prepared , which was great for per dinner drinks. Shown to our table about 9 by a very pleasant waiter, sorry could not tell you his... More
