Its bring your own alcohol which keeps costs down. Walk into very authentic looking dark restaurant full of character. Relaxing music playing throughout. We had the set menu and it was huge and delicious. Several starters may leave you full but wait for the main course as it is full of flavour and well cooked. Really can't speak highly enough... More

Whilst visiting family in Balham we went here one evening for a meal. Restaurant was packed but we had booked so didn't have to wait. Staff who greeted us were very pleasant and helpful. The restaurant doesn't serve alcohol but you can take your own (Sainsbury's across the road) and they are quite happy about this. The food was lovely... More

I went here with a group of friends for a birthday dinner and the first thing to note is that the tables and chairs are very low. The food was average and we waited a long time between courses, although the restaurant was busy that night which could be the reason. The staff were also a bit abrupt but overall... More

Spent a lovely birthday evening here, with a group of about 20. BYOB was a big attraction, and went down very well with me and my party! the restaurant was packed, with another birthday group sat near us, and it was easy to see why. Everyone in my group loved their food, I had a delicious sausage starter which tasted... More

We were booked in for a group of 30 people and 2 days before we were meant to go, we rang the restaurant to confirm the booking. We were told that we would all have to pay £27 for a set menu, and when we questioned why this was not made clear when we booked 3 weeks prior, the manager... More

Excellent service. Beautiful food! Went with 5 friends and had the feast menu - ideal for sharing and waitresses seem just to seem to bring out more and more food!

Have been to Tagine a few times now and highly recommend it. I think it's a testament to it's success in that you'll likely have to book on a Friday or Saturday night. I've been to Morocco and would certainly rate Tagines food as being the real deal. On this occasion had the chicken tagine with zafra (sp?) couscous and... More

Went on Saturday evening when it was busy and a booking would be essential. Totally charming staff, especially the two waitresses who dealt with us. No licquor licence but as there is a Sainsburys opposite, it is easy to bring your own and no corkage seemed to be charged. Food was excellent, all the courses were hot, tasty, and recommended.... I love Tagine. It is such a fantastic, authentic restaurant. Once you have passed the huge wooden door it feels like you are in Arabian Nights, lots of low lighting and traditional drapes. It is very romantic and very special. The chairs are very low which may be uncomfortable if you are very tall, but it is all traditional Moroccan... More

Great lamb shanks, very hearty food, perfect for winter. Take own booze.
