Went here with colleagues for lunch on a Friday, and was so impressed by the steak. The set menu was available at lunchtime with 4 courses in each section, the mozzerella & tomato starter was very flavoursome, but the other 3 were quite bland. Main courses were all top notch, particularly the steak which was cooked to perfection. Dessert wise... More

My business colleagues and I went to this restaurant last night and although a very impressive looking restaurant, the service and the food did not equate to the venue. Two of us had the scallop 'special' but they were over cooked and stuck to the shell. We then had to wait over 40 mins for our main course. An excuse... More

Had a three course meal here with six other work colleagues and we were all very disappointed. Two colleagues sent their main course (beef) back as the meat was overcooked and very tough. The restaurant did not charge us for these two meals and offered something else but as we had waited over an hour from finishing starters to when... More

Dined previously in la Chapelle and thought was superb but after visit to the cafe a vin on Sunday I have a new favourite Galvin restaurant. Nice relaxed feel to the restaurant, sat on the sunny terrace and shared 12 oysters with my partner , we both had the roast brisket of beef as a main . Every element of... More

PRO'S: Nice location, cool atmosphere, professional service, good wine list OK: average food ... I didn't find anything exciting in the recipes, just ok.

Visited lunch time on 19 May 2013. The restaurant is in a great location in the heart of the city but it left me a little disappointed. My wife had a vegetarian risotto and I have to say it was good - she let me taste some :-) But it was not the same for the Tarte Flambe. For those... More

Not sure why I did not have high hopes but this was really excellent. I had the daily special of hake which was perfectly cooked. Service friendly. A bit tight for space but nothing really to complain about. Will definitely go back

It's a nice place. On a warm day you can eat outside here in a lively square off LIverpool Street. Today was cool so we ate inside instead. The room is modern, with wood and steel decor, pleasant service, the table cloth was a strip of brown paper fixed over the wooden table. White linen napkins. It's clean and neat.... More

I was a bit concerned that I would not be able to find the right sort of restaurant to satisfy my dear wife's hunger pangs. But we got it just right at this place. This was a bank holiday Sunday in London in the buzzy atmosphere close to Spitalsfield Market and Brick Lane. I chose the "Roast Beef" option which... More

Definitely a worthy candidate for great value when looking for a romantic dinner - the food was excellent (the wine menu also seemed tempting) and the service impeccable. Highly recommended.
