Description: The third restaurant to be opened by acclaimed chef brothers Chris and Jeff Galvin, La Chapelle has been consistently praised, winning no less than 8 top restaurant awards in its first year, including AA London Restaurant of the Year, and Tatler magazine's Restaurant of the Year. Chef Patron, Jeff Galvin, provides a menu of modern French cuisine, gaining a Michelin star in the 2011 Red Guide, just a year after the restaurant opened. There is also a menu gourmand, prix fixe lunch, early dinner menu, and Sunday Roast lunch menu. The service, under the direction of Alessandro Piombino and his team, effortlessly combines warm, friendly and attentive hospitality with a fine sense of tradition and decorum, in keeping with the grandeur of this Grade II-listed building. The restaurant is one of the few restaurants in London to hold a vertical list of Hermitage La Chapelle wines.

What can you say about this fabulous restaurant that has not already been written. We tried the taster menu – seven courses beautifully prepared and presented for £70. The service was attentive but not overbearing, the time of each course suitably paused to allow you to reflect on what you have eaten and to enjoy the two choices of wine... More

Been here 3 times now, once for lunch, twice for dinner. The lunch menu (like most 1 michelin star restaurants) offers great value and an opportunity to try a few of the dishes. The atmosphere and decor is one of the best in my opinion, as you can see from the various photos posted here. Exudes class and makes it... More

This was something of a treat and the tripadvisor feedback very encouraging. We, like a few reviewers, had the tasting menu and the suggested accompanying wines. The standout items were the lasagne of crab, warm smoked eel (not sure we would have chosen if not on the tasting menu but very good!) and the pave of sea trout and I... More

If you want romantic or cool Galvin , try Windows , Hilton Park Lane. But if you are in the City this place is amongst the best. The usual traffic jam at the bar was absent , possibly because in the June sunlight the outside terrace was open. The food is at the very high Galvin standard and (in passing... More

We had a super lunch at La Chapelle. We choose the tasting menu and each course was superb. Starting with crab lasagna, through, filet of brill, then duck, cheese and tart tatin. All beautifully presented and tasting sublime. Highly recommended . The service was first class, too. Will definitely return - great place for a truly special meal.

My son took me for lunch to Galvin La Chapelle (he is a frequent dinner there). From the moment we arrived we were greeted with a warm welcoming smile and hand shake. After a drink of a lovely glass of Champagne at the bar we were escorted to our table. From then on it was was magical. We had ordered... More

This place is fantastic we had 13 people for a private dining experience, which is held on a suspended mezzanine level. We did have to preselect the menu, this save time especially as we arrived with several bottles of champagne already consumed. I had also preselected the wine and was amazed at the overall value. They have a minimum charge... More

I took my boyfriend here for his 30th birthday. It was amazing. We had the tasting menu which was delicious. Service was excellent, and non intrusive. Would highly recommend.

Visited the for the first time with my wife and had the 7 course tasting menus with wine accompaniment. The food, service, detour were all fabulous - the sommelier had done a great job of matching wines with each course. For such an exclusive restaurant the service was intimate and very friendly- certainly not the cheapest place we have visited,... More

I booked dinner here for my boyfriend's birthday on Saturday over Bank Holiday weekend and it was so so. The venue itself inside is lovely and they did really well to accommodate my request for a quiet romantic table as that is what we got. The staff were friendly and the food was quick. I had the hamhock and foie... More
