Description: With a characteristic setting inside the Old Truman Brewery in London's East End, Al Volo Italian restaurant offers tasty regional cuisine, complemented by home-made pasta. Although modern in design, the restaurant's atmosphere is homely and welcoming. East End restaurants tend to offer very good value for money and Al Volo is no exception. Whether you choose to eat indoors or on the summer terrace, you can choose from a variety of regional dishes, personally chosen by chef Antonio Tonelli and his team to represent some of the top cuisine from various regions of Italy. Just a short walk from the restaurant, Old Spitalfields Market is a great place to work up an appetite before your meal or take a leisurely stroll afterwards. 4 Tube stations are also within reach of Al Volo, making it easy accessible, so if you are looking for Italian restaurants in London, this contemporary spot makes a great choice for breakfast, lunch or dinner. On Sunday afternoons (from 3pm) you could also join London's original Spritz party to get you in the mood for your meal!

Party of 11, booked by the W London - ordered our meals - 45 minutes later they informed us that the kitchen had run out of food! What? We were left wandering the streets of London at 8:30 looking for a chip shop! More

We had a very dissapointing visit to Al Volo. We visited Al Volo on a saturday afternoon, there was only one other couple in he restaurant yet it still took 15 minutes to get served. After we finally got served we had to ask where our starter of x1 garlic bread was as we had waited 45 minutes, there was... More

Been there for the Friday Spritz party this week and i loved the new wave of Al Volo! I knew it since long time ago as good affordable italian food but know they added a new funky twist that i like. Love the Spritz Party! More

Have been to this restaurant few times ago and it was always lovely -- especially for dinner given that lunch seems to be their busiest time so evenings are more relaxed and not as crowded! Went back there couple of weeks ago and by the time I left, I promised myself not to go back. Decor was changed - ok,... More

Ok this used to be the best pizza place in London. But then founder Marco sold it and the new owners have buggered about with it. The re-decoration is abysmal, gone the functional, clean style replaced with chaos, a pointless bar made of washing machines and some terrible art. Small annoying things have happened too, portions have got smaller, and... More

Whilst visiting London on business, my friend and I decided to do some research based on our location and find a well reviewed restaurant. Fancying something Italian we saw a lot of glowing reviews for this place to made the 10 minute walk up. The restaurant was empty (we did eat very early evening) so couldn't comment on atmosphere, but... More

Recommended by a few italian friends, now it has become a place we regulalry visit. Antipastis are excellent, with delicious burrata and ham. Wine list with good choice and affordable, italian of course! Large and good pizzas, delicious pasta too, tried the one with courgettes and prawns. Other dishes also available. In summer ask for a table outside/ in the... More

Hidden away in a carpark off Brick Lane, this is nice non-chain place. Brightly lit, nice decor. Good food, reasonably priced with very nice staff. Would go again. More
