Description: With a name that pays tribute to the poet John Betjeman's longstanding love of St. Pancras station, The Betjeman Arms perches above the bustling platforms at the south-east corner of the restored Barlow shed. The interior hums with a busy upbeat clientele, split between a well-stocked main bar and two contemporary dining rooms, with two bright terraces for people-watching. A smart menu of modern British gastro-pub fare features updated classics such as smoked haddock with poached egg and hollandaise, grilled rib-eye steak béarnaise, or roast cod on white beans and chorizo. During December all online bookings are suspended.

We went to the Betjeman Arms for a get together lunch with a few friends. I had the pork roast dinner. The potatoes were nice, carrots ok, cabbage ok and there was one other vegetable which was unrecognisable (we think it was turnip). I went for the pork roast dinner and was rather disappointed with the dry pork chop looking... More

Great food, ok selection of ales, poor service. Amazing onion rings, but you can't order them separately; only with a burger. But order them!

I booked a table on the terrace a few months before we went as it does seem to get booked up quickly. Two days before we were due to go someone from the restaurant rang to tell me that they had a private party who wanted the whole terrace so would I mind if they seated us in the restaurant... More

Visited recently for lunch. We sat in the beer garden, and the staff were pleasant (knew the daily specials) and efficient enough. The food was quite good, though rather overpriced. There is a discretionary service charge added to the bill, which is rather steep. Next time, we'll try one of the many other eateries at St. Pancras - we left... More

This pub is situated in the superb, newly renovated St Pancreas International Terminus building. It has various internal bars and eating areas plus an undercover terrace alongside the station platforms and an upstairs outside terrace. These appear in the Guardian's Top 5 London Pub Gardens list whose compiler, Robin Turner, helpfully adds "For trainspotters, there are uninterrupted views of the... More

Fine range of draught beers and quick service. Nice place, dining room inside and outside terraces front (for smokers) and back.

We visited here on our way to the Theatre. My husband chose a cheese and bacon beefburger which was expensive but looked worth the £12.55 it came with some salad and chips. It was piled high on a wooden board for a plate, the knife was stabbed through it to hold the tower in place. I had vegetable soup and... More

Seeing as how The Booking Office was closed for a private function I had to settle for this place across the way; it turned out to be a decent "second best". There was a good selection of ales when I went - the Betjeman Ale is an excellent choice if it's available. The place is a bit of a rabbit... More

Visited here for a sandwich and a pint of beer whilst waiting for my train, and I was impressed by the service and the good food. The food turned up very promptly and it was also very tasty. I would recommend another visit next time I am in London

We were stuck at St Pancras a while after returning on Eurostar and called in. This place was very busy in the late afternoon (Wednesday), with a buzzing environment. Choices of good hand-pulled ales and great variety of drinks. Had a very nice meal in the room near the Boardroom - this place is bigger than it looks - Tardis... More
