A seriously nice Japanese restaurant with an extensive menu. It's not much of a looker from the outside and the inside is very basic but from the moment you walk in through the door you know you're in for an authentic experience. The fish is fresh and you can watch the chefs prepare the sushi at the sushi bar. The... More

Ealing has quite a large Japanese population and this is one of their favourite restaurants. The food is high quality, authentic Japanese food, easily the equal of several higher end japanese restaurants in the West End of London. It's not cheap to eat here but then Japanese restaurants seldon are. However the quality of food is high, the portions good... More

Kiraku has stuff competition as the excellent Sushi-Hiro, now Atari-Ya is virtually next door and Momo is not very far away. But it does a great selection of cooked dishes and Sushi. So it is a better choice for a mixed group including vegetarians or non-Sushi eaters. My favourites are the Japanese soup noodles, the sweet Aubergine dish (Nasu Dengaku)... More

I went there to meet friends for lunch. They had so much choice I was finding it hard to choose which dish to get. Our dishes arrived after 10-15 minutes, the portions were big and they had a homely touch to them. Tea was refilled on a regular basis and the seating is fine and not too crowded like some... More

Local Japanese flock to this Ealing Common restaurant so I guess that must be a good sign - and the quality of the cooking and good value are highly recommended. This Sunday our family ordered the Shoku Carpaccio which has a selection of raw fish marinated in a garlic and sesame seed oil sauce that is quite awesome (£11.50), also... More

My favourite restaurant in the whole of London. It is simple and unpretentious, and really doesn't look promising at first glance - that is until you notice that clientelle is mostly Japanese. It is a welcoming place, where servers are very attentive and eager to please and chefs have impeccable standards. Kiraku serves more than just sushi: I highly recommend... More

Really very good. Fantastic selection of sushi and lots of other Japanese dishes. Fish was melt in the mouth good. A bit on the pricey side, but you would pay more for food of this quality in central London. Well done kiraku!!

I'm lucky to know a few Japanese foodies who took me to many tasty and authentic Japanese restaurants in London. As I'm a local to Kiraku, I thought I would give this one a try too and see how it compares... Well, I went twice and was twice very disappointed. Because of its small size, it's usually packed very tightly... More

Ealing boasts a pretty sizeable Japanese expat community, and along with that comes the blessing of fabulous Japanese food. The ingredients are fresh and portions generous. It's a little pricier than I'd like, but this is London and they can get away with it.
