Everything a gastro pub should be. Prices very reasonable with great staff and fantastic atmosphere. No ear splitting music!

This was my second visit after a disappointing Sunday lunch back in January, I thought it was worth giving it another go considering all the great things I'd heard. Living in the city centre I've got to know most establishments and the overall conclusion is that most of the city's restaurants are not that great and it's rare to find... More

Treated my Grandma to lunch for her birthday. I had booked the table online the evening prior and I had no difficulty in getting a table for two on a Saturday. We were seated and ordered drinks very quickly and ordered from the new Spring menu. Food came quickly and the service was great, very pleasant staff who are attentive.... More

Last Friday evening my friend and I had a meal at The Monro prior to going to the theatre. As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted, invited to buy drinks and shown to our table. We had two waiters who were both very efficient and friendly. We chose the early doors menu, two courses for £13.95.... More

Me and my family make a point of visiting the Monro on special occasions. Service has been slow, but the food makes up for it. Lovely restaurant, we always try and get a spot by the fire. Disappointed to find they no longer serve cocktails. Overall, a nice place to go if you don't mind taking your time and eating... More
