Visited here at the start of a short break to Rye, long journey behind us so had the full afternoon tea, scones were delicious, jams home made, felt well revived. Sat on the outside terrace with views of the marshes. Would recomend.

So many tearooms in this quaint little town, but give this a try if you are visiting. Although there was extensive seating out the back, we chose to sit at one of the tables at the front so we could people-watch!. The breakfast tea was lovely, and the chocolate fudge cake was very yummy, as was my partners date and...

lovely little cafe in a beautiful setting. a nice sunny terrace with views out to sea and across the romney marshes. They serve the most delicious pancakes.
There are so many coffee shops in Rye it is difficult to choose which one to go to but having tried a lot of them this really is our favourite. The coffee is great and the warm scones delicious. There is an outside seating area - weather permitting with views acrss the marsh. Service is excellent and there are twinkling...

Called in for lunch, will eat here again. My husband chose it, not his usual thing, but what a pleasent surprise. We had a lovely cheese, potato&onion puff pastry pasty, with wedges( definitely not his thing). Really nice food, pleasent staff too.
Had the most delicious Mother's Day breakfast here this morning with my lovely family. The food was perfect in every way and the staff could not have done enough for us. My one year old son was made to feel very welcome, despite eating his yoghurt with his hands! We do not live in Rye, but visit a few times...

Myself and my partner went here for lunch and a coffee, i wished we had not bothered!.The staff seemed like everything we asked for was too much effort for them and they were not very friendly, food was o k but very overpriced, would try Zara over the road ,its much better
My wife's scallop chowder was perfection with sliced and then toasted scons which was a pleasant and unique dish for us. I had a scallop, black pudding, bacon an prawn dish with crispy potato skins. The only let down was that the latter had a brilliant but slightly overwhelming taste which the light side salad couldn't quite compensate for. Atmosphere...

We frequently visit Rye, and a visit to Rye would be nothing without coffee in Hayden's. On one day of our recent holiday in the town, we also came here to meet some friends for breakfast. The staff are excellent, the food was excellent, AND they were able to provide an interesting gluten free option for our friend.
We called in for a late snack on a wet and windy Saturday afternoon. The staff were very welcoming and the food didn't disappoint either (soup for me and cheese on toast with bacon for him). Despite the constant stream of people trying to eat we were never rushed during our time there. Hayden's was recommended by locals and I...
