Description: Brighton's critically acclaimed Terre a Terre is a vegetarian restaurant that will have even the most ardent carnivore waxing lyrical. Situated close to the sea-front, it consistently achieves awards such as the AA Rosettes and has been listed as one of the Top Ten Healthy Eating Restaurants in the U.K by Channel 4. The décor is chic and stylish, using wooden floors and furniture to contrast with vibrant colours. But here the food is the centrepiece: dhal basmati buns with coconut curry leaf chatni, better Batter and Lemony Yemeni Relish and Thai aubergine jungle curry are just a few of the exotic and imaginative dishes you can find here. To complement the food, a large selection of organic beers, ciders and wines are available. A three course meal here costs an average of £40 per person. A refreshing take on vegetarian cuisine.

I booked this restaurant after a visit to the South Coast, having been on a sea plane and having sauntered through The Laines. It was truly superb with lovely, attentive staff. The atmosphere was buzzing and the restaurant itself was full but that was by no means a negative. The food was original, prompt and beautifully presented. It's the one... More

I have been to far too many veggie restaurants where eating meatless food is an excuse to bring things out of the kitchen that are delicious but worthy, food that is a study in mung-bean brown. Terre a Terre takes that stereotype and demolishes it. Every plate out of the kitchen looks as good as it tastes (and that is... More

Went to Terre a Terre after a private view at the Brighton Museum of Jeff Koon. You can never be disappointed by Terre a Terre the food is on different level. Take the waiter's advice and only have the Terre a Tapas without venturing onto a main course. Or do so at your peril.... It is already extremely difficult to make a choice so the selection of "lovelies from around the menu" seems the best way to get a taste of the loveliest restaurant in South England (forget that it does... I have eaten at terre a terre a multitude of times and have always enjoyed incredible, inventive, gorgeous food! The service here is always friendly and impressively remembers the large amount of elements in each dish. I would recommend Terre a Terre to anyone (Veggies and meat eaters alike)

We decided to book a meal here for our 20th Wedding Anniversary. We're vegetarian and had been looking forward to eating here for some time. It did not disappoint in any way whatsoever, the food was stupendous, the staff were helpful and attentive, the restaurant location handy and easy to find. The portion sizes were good, so good in fact... More

I took two friends from London to try this place out for the first time, having meant to try it for a while myself. We shared appetisers which were a mix of exciting flavours and many ingredients I had never tried, then for main I had the Raj Rosti which was just delicious! I never knew halloumi could taste that... More

We booked dinner for 2 online for last Friday. Both the meal and service were excellent and really enjoyed evening despite a person on the next table being so loud the waiting staff twice asked her to turn the volume down. Bill was very reasonable coming in at £65 for 4 glasses of wine, 2 main courses (average £14 per... More
