The founder member of the Ginger group of restaurants. Went there with friends in March for a girls birthday lunch. It is expensive but you pay for what you get. High quality food and a great wine list! Personal service with great attention to detail. Would recommend to anyone with cash to splash or a special occasion. The dining room... More

Great little restaurant down one of the duller streets leading to the seafront. The lunch set with three courses for £18 is exceptional value as all the dishes are top-notch stuff. Bread was probably the best I have ever had in the UK. Extensive wine list as well. Didn't quite get the dozen or so livestock portraits on the walls-there... More

We have now visited this resturaunt on 2 occasions both times we adored the food and somewhat eclectic menu but when one is paying premium for quality food one also EXPECTS a comfortable and relaxing ambience setting in which to " savour" amd enjoy the meal - otherwise to be a honest you could easily buy a take a way... Really nice restaurant. Quite small and intimate with a very nice atmosphere. Lots of extra little touches which were very nice. Food was lovely - did want the meal to end. I thought the set price menu was good value bearing in mind the quality and the whole deal. Some of the wine might be a little expensive - perhaps?... More

Just come back from a weekend in Brighton & having been to The Gingerman Restaurant on Saturday evening I find myself writing my first ever trip advisor review. The food was to die for and probably the best meal my husband & I have ever had. I had the sea trout for main which was absolutely delicious. I consider myself... More

We have never been disappointed at the Gingerman- a small intimate restaurant with about 28 covers. Whether for a lunch, dinner with friends or as a cover it blends to the event. Food is always superb with interesting twists on old recipes and new ideas. The little extras are always a welcome bonus. Reasonably priced for the quality particularly the... More

Gingerman is a smll but perfectly formed gem of a restaurant where we treated ourselves to an anniversary dinner. Unless you know where to find it (on a road running between Norfolk Square and the seafront) you wouldn't spot this as a casual browser, but it well worth searching out. It has an intimate atmosphere and advanced booking is probably... More

Thoroughly recommended. The atmosphere was cosy and quaint. Food was really good especially for the set menu of three courses for £22.50. Will definitely be back
