Aloka was a brilliant place to eat, take a class or have a treatment but unfortunately it closed on Sunday the 9th of September 2012. Such a shame.

I came here for lunch (and also a back massage), and both were great. The lunch buffet items were all excellent quality, and there was a vegan lasagne that I wish I could recreate - it was just so good! Highly recommended!
After reading a positive review in the Independent we were eager to visit Aloka on Saturday at their restaurant to sample the Summer Evening Menu. Whilst not being vegetarians we thought the menu sounded inventive and exciting. We were not disappointed for every single dish we ordered was wonderful and bursting with flavour and taste sensations. The restaurant is upstairs...

You do not have to be a vegan, or even a vegetarian, to appreciate the time and trouble that have gone into making this food so tasty and unusual.I discovered it one lunchtime, not so long ago on my own,and it was not long before I was dragging my spouse, and then other members of the family, back to savour the treat.Having been...

My second or third visit to Aloka, always a favourite when visiting Brighton. A varied buffet choice of pasties, salads, hot dishes, burgers, stuffed vegetables. Great fresh juices. All dishes described well and ingredients listed. You put whatever you want on your plate and weigh it to determine how much you are paying. Really lovely appetising vegetarian food.

This is a great place to try out raw food. The dishes we had were all 5 star, and the wait staff are very welcoming. However, not many raw dishes were available to chose from and some were only semi raw. Still, I would recommend this restaurant.
I really loved this place. If you are a veggie, or vegan, or have dietary restrictions its one of the few places in Brighton where you can eat good, reasonably priced food that's clearly labelled. I also liked the clean, white well lit decor and aura soma colours. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and I also visited the crystal...

The downstairs cafe/restaurant is in the same space as the...
