Delicious food, lovely atmosphere have stayed in Chester twice and eaten at Chez Jules both visits. You may need to book a table but definitely worth it.
Not that I have eaten in many of them, but Chez Jules in Chester is may favourite in that wonderful city. It stays the same; red check tablecloths, old-fashioned brown cane chairs, bottles with candles, charming young French ladies serving, an airy room with a view of the bustle of the street. The three-course meal for under £15.00 is truly... More
We had a lovely dinner here, the non meat eater amongst us enjoyed the fish very much. Very good menu offering plenty of choice. Very helpful staff, moved us when we mentioned we were in a draught. Reasonabley priced fixed menu. Recommend!
We were in Chester one busy Friday evening, looking for somewhere to eat. Got chatting to a policeman who recommended Chez Jules. As soon as we walked through the door, loved it. The friendly staff, lovely décor, a nice ambiance and brilliant food and drink, for a reasonable price. Expected it to cost much more. Next time I return to... More
Chez Jules never fails to impress - the food and atmosphere were excellent. Thank for a great evening.
A busy Saturday night but service and food couldn't be faulted. It was a Christmas fixed price menu but there was a wide choice and I could have happily eaten just about anything from it.
Food was fantastic. The welcome from all the staff was great. We hadn't booked and could see they were very busy. But the gentleman we spoke with was so friendly he squeezed us in later on on the night. I can't praise the value for money, quality of food and staff highly enough! We will be visiting Chester next yr... More
Visited Chez Jules on a busy Friday evening. The restaurant was quite full and we were seated upstairs, which was fine. The decor is lovely and the waiting on staff were friendly and helpful. Had a lovely starter of smoked trout and boiled egg. Bit disappointed with the main though. The pork loin chop was very fatty and, once all... More

We got in here just walking off the street on a Friday night, excellent place for dinner, food very good especially the fish and the menu is updated every day. The ambience is great and very good value for money. We'll worth a visit if you like French and fish.
