Went here on a Groupon Voucher that we had. Staff were really helpful and accommodating and it turns out there was a band on the same night. We really enjoyed the music and the food was tasty and reasonably priced. The only thing we found expensive were the beers but this may have been the make we were drinking (Tiger).... More

Alexander's is one of Chester's great entertainment venues with a good choice of beverages and food. Staff are very friendly and helpful and any event held at the venue is always well priced and quality adding to a great night out

Chester is very lucky to lay host to such a wonderful venue. I frequent this place every time I visit to see relatives. Over the years, we have managed to witness many of the different nights they have to offer, from the funk, to the established Comedy and Open Mic evenings. Each night is busy and the vibe is brilliant... More

Not alot of choice and when the food came it was cold and not much of it. Overpriced for what it was.

Staying in the Dragonfly in Chester for a couple of nights we wanted some live music. Google came up with Alexander's so we went along. Holly and her staff were incredible. We had such a lovely evening with non stop Tapas dishes arriving at our table with a half caraffe of wine to boot. Would recommend!!

Visited Alexander's on a Tuesday night when it's open mic night. We always try and fit this in whenever we have a short break in Chester. It's a great venue, good atmosphere and have heard some really good acts there-always something different and full of friendly people. Only downside is I don't think they can justify the £2 admission fee... More

I particularly wanted to see Connie Lush so everything was great and that includes the tapas style food, that was plentiful, the service and the intimate atmosphere. However, unless you are particularly keen on the entertainment being offered there's little else to attract you there.

Really fresh and tasty tapas. Helpful staff. Great music. Particularly enjoyed the clarinet/saxophone/accordion player! Thanks for a great night!

I haven't been to a comedy nt at Alexander's for about 6years and my other half had never been before. We booked online for the comedy and 3 course meal offer which was reasonably priced, to celebrate our anniversary together with it being our 1st nt out since our baby arrived. We had a nice nt, but this was no... More

Visited Alexander's at short notice for the comedy on a Saturday night. Excellent comedy in a lovely intimate venue. Great selection of drinks and very friendly staff. Highly recommended.
