This was a great place for a sandwich, we had a crab one which was £9 and seemed pricey, but it was enough for both of us, so we order one with an extra plate and it was a large piece of baguette type bread divided into two smaller pieces which in themselves were ample for our needs.
The lady,whose Bed and Breakfast (Sue's B&B and Tea Garden) we stayed at, was singing with the delightful Sark Singers at the Island Hall on our first night. Early in the season but nothing on the menu was available so we ended up with sliced white bread smoked salmon sandwiches
We have eaten at Hathaways a number of times and it has always been very good. Whether choosing lobster or a burger, the food is excellent and the service is very good. It has a great location at the entrance to the Seigneurie and you can sit inside our outside. Highly recommended for a more up market lunch.
This was the best restaurant visit of our holiday, pretty reasonably priced too. Modern, comfortable surroundings. Fresh food, delicious tasting. My husband enjoyed the lobster - he had had several bad experiences previously but Hathaways converted him. I had the chicken which was also cooked to perfection. Need to book as popular.
My husband and I had our wedding reception at this wonderful tea room. The chef, Harvey, was an absolute delight and made the most amazing food.
