The restaurant is located right by the harbour, which obviously impacts the quality and freshness of the seafood. We liked it so much that we visited the restaurant 3 times in 3 days. It is not expensive, however nothing is compromised.
A bonus: watched a bunch of playful seals swimming around right under the restaurant.

Given that the original meaning of the word TIP = To improve service, here is my review.
We arrived around lunch time on Freedom Day to be greeted by very friendly staff but soon found out that that is where it ended. She produced one menu with apologies that there were no more. She soon however produced more. We had...

Though it was more on the pricey side the food was excellent and cooked to perfection, and our waiter was very personable and friendly. We had a window seat and the view was so stunning that I forgot my dinner guest and become absorbed in watching the seals in the water playing and beautiful sunset. Kicked myself that I forgot...

We were lucky and got a window seat. The views were excellent and were matched by both the food and the service.

A good end to a...

I think the title says it all. We loved The Harbour House (Kalk Bay) and visited twice after having lunch in Live Bait downstairs.
The food and wine were superb and I will not miss visiting again when we return to Cape Town!!

A perfect setting for a late midweek lunch on a gloriously sunny afternoon. Ideally set at a window table with views of the ocean, time eased by as we tucked into the seafood specials and an agreeable Sauvignon blanc. Grilled Kingklip with roasted vegetables was the highlight on the menu. Prices were reasonable and the service excellent. All good.
