Visited on a Thursday morning with my wife. A few business men at a table but otherwise empty. I had the eggs benedict and she had French toast. The meals took a little longer to arrive than we liked. The eggs were not much to look at, and the English muffins were clearly the same ones you can purchase at... More

This is a little big place. Small interior without feeling crowded. The beet salad and crab cakes are excellent starters. The curried mayo is made in house and you'll want the convince the chef to shar3 the recipe. We split the beet salad and crab cakes by the way...both top notch! We ordered the salmon burger and the lamb burger... More

Disappointing experience - server rather a grumpy hobbit. Hamburger buns were burnt and no apology was forthcoming. Home fries good. Not likely to repeat this experience even though outdoor patio was great for people watching.

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel staff and we had breakfast there. We had 8 in our party and everyone enjoyed their food. I had the best Eggs Benedict ever. The staff was very friendly and helpful especially since my son has nut allergies. They were extremely accommodating and concerned with his needs and special diet. I would eat... More

This is a lovely restaurant. The menu is traditional French with some nouveau flare. All of the other patrons were local, which we took as a good sign. Prices were reasonable.

We made reservations earlier in the day and were seated immediately when we arrived. The service was a bit slow to start, our waiter was at our table then turned and went to another one, maybe he had forgotten something. Otherwise they were pretty attentive. Lots of selection on the menu. For appetizers, two of our group had the soup... More

Ate with friends and had good service. Since we don't speak French, we had to rely on the waiter. My beet, goat cheese salad was good but could've used some vinaigrette. My halibut on puréed beets and a green sauce was tasty. The best dish was the veal pasta. The Bagdad Cafe dessert was several layers of yumminess. Another dessert... More

We dined at 6:30 on a Tuesday night and it was filling up fast. Service was very good, as was the good. Pricey wine list though...

I dined at the Hobbit Bistro with a large group of business colleagues, and thus did not select the restaurant myself. As such, I was not expecting much, as in the past I have been underwhelmed by Quebec restaurants which had glowing reviews but so-so meals. Things started off well when about 15 of us showed up without a reservation,... More

We thought it was a pretty good breakfast until we went to Le Cochon Dingue the next day. Not bad, but I would walk to Le Cochon Dingue instead!
