I went for a large work dinner with about 40 people. The small dining room we were in was private and great for our group. Service for a group that large was outstanding, we did order from a smaller menu but the choices were varied. Everything was excellent, lobster bisque, smoked salmon, steak au poive and a delectable dessert assortment.... More

Bonaparte is a decent French restaurant in the heart of Old Montreal, right down the street from Notre Dame Cathedral. Service there is superior. Decor is classic, yards of heavy white tablecloths, full settings. There is a reasonably varied table d'hôte if you want to sample some of the favourites. Both the pork tenderloin in a Dijon sauce and the... More

We really enjoyed the 5 course Spring Celebration prix fixe -- felt like a real value for such wonderful food and impeccable service. I would highly recommend for a lovely evening for two with one of the small window tables. More

I felt like you can get better food at a different restaurant for the price. I will say the breakfast is well worth the cost though. More

Food was simplY AMAZING! Lobster bisque was not as I've had it before but everything we had of their "Winter Festival" Pre Fixe Menu was brilliant. More

We were part of a large wedding reception party. After the appetizers, the area lost its electricity. The kitchen had gas, so cooking was not a problem. However, no one had any flashlights, and so the cooks could not see. The blackout lasted nearly an hour, so the staff just served drinks (and so the bar bill for the couple... More

My husband and I went here for dinner. Service was good, food was somewhat average. We did not order a full dinner, so I can only comment on the starters. I had the french onion soup and it was very bland to me. I also had the mushroom ravioli and the mushrooms overpowered the sauce. Even the chocolate mousse was... More

Very pretty restaurant with very good, friendly service. They have a five course dinner for $46. The lobster bisque was okay, not thick enough and the ginger detracted from the taste. The goat cheese toast appetizer was exceptional, only wish they has two pieces instead of one. The sorbet with sparkling wine intermezzo was a nice treat. The duck entree... More
