Absolutely stunning restaurant, inside and out. as mentioned on their website, it must be the most beautiful terrasse in Montreal! Service is impeccable, and the food is delicious! Try the venison tartare! Or the scallops carpaccio! I will be back and and I can only recommend this place to others More

My husband and I recently went to Montreal for a week-end and decided to try this restaurant because of the reviews. The atmosphere was nice - people were dressed up and down. The staff were very attentive and knowledgable. We started with the lamb and the venison tartar - both were excellent. The lamb was the best of the two.... More

Our group of three went here last night for dinner, and it did not disappoint. The salad was really wonderful (and how do you make a salad remarkable?), and all of the dishes were beautifully presented and delicious. The setting was elegant and interesting, and-- most of all-- the waitstaff were really excellent. We had three people waiting at our... More

Perhaps if we'd come here the first night, I would have given it 4 stars, but after Europa the first night which was extraordinary and special in every way, this was pretty standard fare from start to finish. Sure, the food was good, service was warm but the food itself was nothing special. I had the veal and rock shrimp... More

The restaurant is nicely decorated and the table are spaced very comfortably. The service is very good and starts right upon arrival with a warm "how are you doing?". Sounds silly but did you notice most places never ask? you get a hello at best and that's it... Service was great throughout the night with a good balance between casual... More

Guests will appreciate knowing the restaurant does not go overboard with salt. I agree with the staff other restaurants are usually too liberal with salt but not this place. It is a bit unusual to witness such a policy while advocating items on the menu where salt would be predominant such as creamy soups, duck confit, shredded meat sandwich or... More

The reviews and #2 raking of this restaurant along with its spaciousness (9 of us in total) made it the perfect choice for our Saturday night dinner. Right from the get go, L'Autre Version lived up to its reputation. The server was friendly and not pompous. The wine list is fantastic and diverse. The menu is impossible to choose from!... More

amazing dining experience, I am truly at a loss for words. The service was so spot on, friendly and attentive. Very accomadating to our lack of french. The food was prompt, beautiful, and delicious. I had the veal and rock shrimp - loved the inclusion of a fresh salsa as opposed to a heavy sauce or a jus as is... More

Hubby and I really enjoyed the 7 course tasting menu. Unbelievably delicious. Spring for the wine pairing it is really worth it. Service was just wonderful. Perfectly attentive. Atmosphere was romantic and chic without being too pretentious. More
